Dan would, well, I'm almost glad Dan isn't here for this week.

Like, I don't mind reporting and talking about this news, especially as we have a direct viewpoint to give on it. But at the same time, I'm kind of glad he's not here to overly rub that in. If you don't know what the UyR is, if now is your first time listening to the Big Rob Ruehaw, UK podcast, and you don't know what the Uy is. The UyR was a small Android-based console, kind of a cube-shaped system that was funded entirely

through Kickstarter initially for its launch, which launched in 2013.

It was probably like the biggest Kickstarter success story of its time, because it managed to raise

$8.5 million dollars. That is, pounds conversion there. It came out. It didn't do too well on sales. A lot of people that received their EARs had problems with controller buttons sticking or the console's not turning on and all these kind of things. Tim's one was fine, so we got to mock him anyway. All good.

And it's gone through some weird ebbs and flows in terms of staying alive.

They've, oh God, so many things have happened to this thing.

They've been putting them in Saudi Arabian hotels.

They've been sticking them in car systems.

Originally, after the Kickstarter, they got some, like, investment funding or some sort of funding

that was about $25 million or so, and then they kind of burned through that fairly quickly.
