I am Doni Deutsch and this is the podcast dedicated to a simple premise that everybody and everything is a brand today every athlete every celebrity every entertainer every corporation every product every religion everything is a brand we do two things on the. We do an interview with a big personality but

their own personal brand this week and that drops on Thursdays. It's CNN's

Michael's Markanish. Brilliant commentator, analyst, pundit, author, podcaster, CNN, Saturday morning guy, but he's fantastic.

He's right down the middle, I love most of his politics.

We're to talk to him, and today we do what we call our brands of the week.

These are the brands that are up, that are down, that are shaping the zeitgeist. Let's get right into it.

Of course there's one huge story this week and one huge brand and that's obviously Joe Biden who dropped out of the race on Sunday and Joe Biden saved

democracy once in 2020 and he did it again by dropping out he I always look I was

very vocal in saying that I thought he should not stay in the race for only one reason that I didn't think he could be Trump and I always said that I thought he would come to this himself and he did he did what was right for the party he did was right for country, the complete opposite of the guy he's running

against who is completely self-motivated and Joe Biden proved that he is selfless.

History will be very kind to Joe Biden.

He had, no matter how you look at it. I don't care what side of the spectrum run a very successful presidency.

He passed more legislative bills than bipartisan bills than any president since LBJ, certainly in the last 50 so odd years. He has managed

this out of the pandemic brilliantly.. The stock market is at all time high, wages in a all time high,

job growth is in an all time high, unemployment is in all time low. Crime is down this year, 20% in most areas. The Infrastructure Act, the Chips

Act, it just, you know, he's, I think he has handled both wars as brilliantly as you can possibly do in two

impossible situations and he gets a strong a minus for me he actually gets an

A for what he did right now but Joe Biden will go down as an American hero and there we have it so

that's a huge brand up for him. Brand down for right now and this is going to be

in the minority for what Democrats are doing It looks like they're coalescing around

Kamala Harris. This is not about her. This is I wish there was more an open
