We begin with Russia is shadowing our satellites, German defense minister says.

That's Bistorius from the Social Democratic Party, but extremely well thought of in the

coalition government of Friedrich Mertz right now.

German defense minister Boris Bistorius warned about the growing threat posed by

Russian space activities, citing concerns over two Russian satellites, shadowing IntelSat

satellites used by the German forces.

The quote is important because Pistorius speaks for the EU and NATO.

Russia and China have expanded their capabilities for warfare and space rapidly over the past years.

They can disrupt satellite operations, blind satellites, manipulate or kinetically destroy them, he told a space conference in Britain.
