interesting bank holiday Monday basically what we are doing is we are talking of course about more

listeners we are talking about more viewers and more common sense opinions it is bank

holiday Monday so hardly anyone is actually working the streets of London are more deserted

than ever and the news that just 13% of the city's

workforce has returned to work isn't exactly helping. After capping the eat-out to help

subsidise your own lunch business, Chancellor Rishi Sunak has come up with another bright idea,

let's put up tax. You know, marvelous. If it goes ahead, it will be one of the biggest

mistakes any Tory government has ever made. To raise corporation tax by over 25% would send a clear message to firms already struggling to make

Hensby that the government wants them to pay for the economic recovery. I'd rather see a much more

targeted tax rise to the big multinational corporations that are currently taking the Mickey

out of the great British taxpayer by refusing to bring workers back into offices and continuing to take furlough money from us.

The more workers return, the less tax you pay.

That would be my system.

The one bright spark in the proposals, I suppose, is that Rishi is going to rip up the foreign aid budget,

so that should bring 15 billion quid back into the coffers of recovery. We'll take

the advice from Marcus Spish, Conservative MP for Yovill, of course. He's not too happy about

these tax proposals. And like most proper Tories, he thinks taxing people is not the answer.
