I am obsessed with not losing any of my brain ability as I get older.

And I'm also really nervous about dementia and Alzheimer's, my grandmother had Alzheimer's.

In fact, I would like my brain to be smarter as I get older if such a thing is possible.

So I had on neuroscientist, Dr. Mark Milstein, who just wrote a book, The Age Proof Brain,

Yeah, so that's what we're seeing is that it's not destiny in a vast majority of cases

and that we have things that we can do.

So how do we do little things that can protect our brain and really also get the best out of

And so we do see that we can lower risk of dementia anywhere from 30 to 60%.

I know that's a big range, but that's where the studies are showing us.

And it's about some lifestyle factors.

And I didn't know this either, that dementia is what Alzheimer's causes and other things

cause dementia too, but that's sort of the end goal of Alzheimer's is dementia.

I thought maybe it was like, oh, everybody gets a little bit of dementia, but some people

get it really serious with Alzheimer's.
