We are both curious if we will be able to be happy with no athletic goals to chase. It's been such a big part of both of our lives for decades. And the fascinating balance between gratitude (which means you are happy and content) with Aspiration (which keeps you striving to achieve more).
“Time is both long and short. On balance you’ll probably live about 90 years (4,700 weeks, 33,000 days) You can do anything just not everything. Make every day count.”

| 0:43.5 | to be here bro. So one thing I was told people is the importance of accountability. I don't remember |
| 0:49.5 | when it started. It's been many, many, many years but we used to talk maybe the first year or the second |
| 0:54.8 | year when we talk about what our goals are and I feel like we always kept each other accountable. |
| 0:59.1 | And I think it's such an important thing in life to have accountability partners. So I'd love to |
| 1:03.0 | just kind of spend this time talking about goal setting, but wonderful phrase we talked about |
| 1:08.3 | before like balancing gratitude with aspiration because one like gratitude means you're going to be |

| 1:17.3 | And just some of the review of 2022 things you're happy with, things you weren't the kind of go from |
| 1:22.5 | there. Yeah, for sure. So if you want to start with mine and then we can go into yours. I think |
| 1:27.6 | the best things I've done in my life starting maybe I don't know 10 and 12 years ago is just |
| 1:33.0 | keeping your journal and it's kind of evolved towards just writing anything down like an important |
| 1:38.0 | rev, but also track stuff through the years. So by the time I get to this point in a year kind of |
| 1:42.8 | as it gets towards Christmas in the years, is it look back and I say, okay, what are the important |
| 1:47.7 | lessons I learned during the year? What did I accomplish during the year that I'm proud of? And then |
| 1:51.5 | looking forward, you know, what are my goals? So I'm a big believer in like you said, like gratitude |
| 1:55.7 | should be mixed in with aspiration. It's all aspiration. And I never really get a lot of satisfaction |
| 2:01.0 | on that because you're always looking forward, never really looking backwards. So if I think having |
