My name's Brandon Galey and welcome to episode 34 of the blog Millionaire.

In this episode, I'm going to cover 25 proven ways how to decrease your

bounce rate. But before we go into how to decrease your bounce rate, let us look at what it is

and what typical bounce rates are on different types of websites. Google defines the bounce rate

as the percentage of single page visits.

What that means is someone visits your site or an interest page, and then as soon as they

visit, they leave before they go on to another page.

So effectively, they've only seen one page of your website before they decide to leave.

Typically, a visitor can bounce from your

site by clicking on the link to a page on a different website, clicking the back button to leave the

site, closing an open window or tab site, typing in a new URL, or just having the session timeout

altogether. The bounce rate by industry varies depending upon which

type of website or web page that you have. For example, with blogs, you're looking at a really

high bounce rate. Typically, it's closer to 90 to 95% if you're getting most of your traffic

from Google. Now, if you're getting most of your traffic from your email list,

then people have already been to your site before,

and they're going to hang around.

They know that you're a proven commodity,

and therefore they're going to click and go to something else.
