Huntley Mum, he's battered beyond recognition.

So a monster Ian Huntley's mother secretly visited him in hospital last night

and told pals he was unrecognizable after being battered in a jail attack.

Now it's our understanding that Ian Huntley, one of the worst killers in history, has a 5%

chance of survival. He's only 52. He's been subjected to a brutal attack. He's in an induced coma after his skull was crushed with a three-foot metal pole.

He could be dead in days.

If Ian Huntley dies, very few will mourn his passing.

Yes, there won't be a sleep this night in my household over it, but of course I can't condone

this attack upon him.

Yeah.

But the fact of the matter is, Ian Huntley, and I've had this from reliable prison sources, has been a marked man since the very day he walked into prison.

There's been a price on his head, a price of kudos, if you will, for anybody that could end his life.

And it would appear that somebody's got very close to doing that.

Is it a failure of the prison authorities that this has happened?

No, I think the prison authorities have done a remarkable job in preventing this for over 20 years.

It's incredibly difficult when you are dealing with the very worst of humanity. People who are evil
