And Boris Johnson has just chaired the first meeting of his cabinet, his refresh cabinet.

James, what was the message coming from that?

That it's all about delivery.

There was also a joke about how he'd seen more delivery rooms than anybody but Jacob Rees-Mogg.

And there was also a talk about Emily Lawson, who ran the NHS vaccine rollout,

who's now been drafted into head the number 10 delivery unit, also addressed the cabinet.

I think the interesting question is what are they trying to deliver?

And I mean the challenge of this government is we know at the very 64,000 feet, high level, point what they're trying to deliver.

But what are the steps on that road?

So, you know, how are you going to get to leveling up, for example?

We know what the aim of the policy is in toto, but how do you intend to get there?

And I think that is the question.

What are they trying to deliver?

And then I think the other question is the biggest delivery challenge that they have to my mind

is clearing these COVID related backlogs how are they going to do that we have an idea of the money

that I have to do that in health but we don't know how they intend to do it yet in any detail

what are they planning to do education what are they planning to do in the criminal justice system

I think those are for questions they are going to need answering this autumn.
