| 0:00.0 | Welcome back guys to part 2 of this super empowering episode of Women of Impact with me, |
| 0:05.3 | your host Lisa Villu and my home with the amazing Dr Mindy Pels. Mindy keeps delivering these aha moments that make you wonder why you were today years old when you learn the most effective way to mind blowing sex starts in the body. And spoiler alert, the most amazing orgasms, your intuition and your most kick-ass days have one thing in common. Wonder what that is. Ladies, ladies, ladies we have been misunderstood and have been misunderstanding ourselves long freaking enough. Enough, enough? Today we end up, we learn about our bodies, we learn about our sexual desires and what makes us us. So let's get right into it and part to today's conversation with my girl Dr Mindy Pell's on Women of Impact. And so I always want the truth, that's the thing. I don, having gone through my health issues, you want to talk about the worst time of my relationship. |
| 1:07.4 | Right. |
| 1:08.4 | Because I didn't feel sexy. Yeah. I didn't want sex. Yeah. I, I was so inflamed, my gut was so protruding that I couldn't stand up for longer than five minutes at the time. I was 20 pounds lighter than you see me now. my hair was falling out, my nails were brittle. |
| 1:23.6 | And so I did that to myself. |
| 1:25.8 | Like I take ownership over that. |
| 1:27.4 | I had a bad relationship with food. |
| 1:29.0 | I was taking a lot of antibiotics because I wasn't replenishing my gut. And so it affected my relationship, it affected my confidence. I was hyper emotional all the time. I couldn't control them. And I wouldn't wish that on anyone. I really wouldn't. And I think it was because of my own mindset that got me into that and without knowledge like what you're teaching today, I didn't have that. I didn't understand it. Right. And so if we can give people the tools to never get there so that you can have thriving relationships, amazing businesses and feel great about yourself and be confident, I think that that is a beautiful gift that women can totally own for themselves instead of externally waiting for someone to give it to them. Here's a question back to you on that time period. I mean, I think there's a deep fear of women to admit their weakness. Like, I need rest would be like a weakness. Honestly, when you said that, when you said it earlier, |
| 2:26.7 | I was really worried. |
| 2:28.0 | I was like, ooh, even knowing myself, even saying all of that that just happened to me. I'm like, that's gonna be hard for me to say. It would be hard for me to say to my husband, I'm not, I can't talk about this for a few days because of my home life. I can't do this job because of my homework. |
| 2:42.8 | That would be very hard, but I'm so go oriented |
| 2:46.6 | that if you say, what is my goal, |
| 2:48.6 | how am I gonna get there? I can't do this job because of my hormones. Like that would be very hard, but I'm so goal oriented |
| 2:46.4 | that if you say, what is my goal? How am I gonna get there? Whether it's a business, whether it's, let's say you wanna run a marathon, whether it's you wanna have a beautiful relationship. In order for me to get there, I say, what do I have to do? And Miguel Mindy is sitting right here telling me exactly what I have to do. I would be foolish. |
| 3:03.7 | I would be foolish to ignore it. |
| 3:05.2 | Yeah, exactly. |
| 3:07.0 | So I came up with a term because I, we're kind of from the same threat because I'm like, yeah, you give me any task. I can put my head down and I'm a workhorse. I can make it happen. And I don't do, I don't know how to rest. I have struggled with how to rest. And the more I have understood hormones, the more I'm like, you have to rest, Mindy. So I came up with a phrase one day in this self-talk where I was like, you have to rest, you have to relax. And my brain was like, no, you're lazy, you have a long list of things you need to do. The house is a mess. You've got three books you're writing. You've got YouTube videos. You got to map out what are you resting for? And I think a lot of women have that panic. I can't rest. So I came up with this phrase that I'm courageously resting. |
| 4:06.0 | And I was like, oh, when I put courageous in front of rest, |
| 4:11.0 | now the badass version of me is like, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm rangously resting right now, Pat, you see that? |
| 4:21.0 | We must slip. |
| 4:22.0 | Yeah, bring me my slippers. |
| 4:23.8 | Feet, maybe a glass of wine, |
... |
