A record 520,000 migrants across the treacherous jungle

between Columbia and Panama,

known as the Darien Gap in 2023, more than half a

million.

More than double the number reported in 2022, which itself was a new number, a new record.

The migrants made the journey that marks the start of the dangerous trek north,

from South America to the United States,

mostly from Venezuela, Ecuador, Haiti, and China, says the Reuters.
