Folks, we may be headed for a government shutdown this Friday.

I don't see how it can be avoided.

Chuck Schumer and Democrats are saying they will not vote for any funding package that

contains money for the Department of Homeland Security.

And the Republicans are not going to cave on that.

It's, I believe, $64 billion.

So the Democrats have obviously calculated.

I mean, this could fail and people could be really pissed off, that there's

another government shut down so quickly, but this could fail as a tactic, just piss people off.

On the other hand, it seems that President Trump is starting to send signals about certainly softening his position

about what's going on in Minneapolis.

I think he would pull the troops tomorrow, but then it would look like too much of a defeat.

So I think he waits a little while.

You know, Barack Obama speaking out about the killing of Alex Preti, heartbreaking tragedy, wake-up call.

Anderson Cooper is the biggest name anchor reporting from Minneapolis.

Now, I would think if you were Tony DeCopal, David Muir, Tom Janus, the broadcast evening news anchors,

you'd go there.
