My beloved brothers and sisters,

the first thing we want to commence with

is to ask Allah to accept the fast that we have fasted today.

Amen.

And we ask Allah to accept the Salah of Tarawi that was fulfilled today.

Thereafter, we ask Allah to accept all our fasts.

To make us people who achieve the correct benefit from the month of Ramavana, which is the closeness

of Allah known as Takwa.

Kootibah al-I-Kumusuya,

kutibā al-A-Lathinami

oqabali kum la vinam mia,

kabali kum la kumtatakun takun.

Fasting is prescribed upon you like it was upon those before you

in order that you achieved Takawa.

When we say Takwa, many people have different translations of it.
