Hey everybody, welcome to Ask the Pastor. My name is Matt Love. I'm here with Pastor J.D.

Greer. And if you guys are anything like me, you're kind of getting to the end of 2024.

You're like, all right, what did I do this year? You're starting to look ahead. What goals do you

have? And I know that a lot of people have goals around reading. I have goals around reading

that typically I'm really good at hitting all my reading goals. You guys may not believe this,

but having a one-year-old child impacted my number of books read this year pretty heavily.

So it wasn't quite as good as I'm used to.

I always thought that you get up in the middle of the night and you are feeding them or whatever,

and then you get to read.

Isn't that how it works?

So, J.D., it's not that I haven't maybe read a number of books.

It's that maybe the quality, it's just like me

rereading Harry Potter over and over again because my brain can't take in new information.

You're not reading Harry Potter to your one-year-old. That's not the point of that. Okay.

Not yet. Not quite yet. Might be a little bit young for to really comprehend the nuances of that.

They handled the material. We'll get there someday.

But I know a lot of us, myself included, also like kind of think about future, like next year,

2025, what books do I want to read?

What are some things that are on my list?

And, J.D., I know that you are definitely a big, like love reading, love reading books.

And we just kind of thought it would be good here kind of
