I am Matt Love, and I am here with Pastor J.D. Greer, and we are continuing.

We're part two of kind of something we try to do every year.

Pastor J.D. typically makes like a top 10 book list

or best books you read in a year. So we're just kind of sharing some of those on the podcast.

And I laugh every time you say top 10. I was going to say, unfortunately, top 10 got stretched a little

bit and I don't even know how many we're doing but we enough that we needed two episodes that's how

many we're doing so um we kind of did a mix of some Christian books and some non-Christian books

and kind of go to the same thing I think in this episode but yeah I mean janey let's just dive back in

would love to hear some of the other books that were helpful for the you as as people are making

their book list for 2025 what were some of the things that you

were encouraged by a 2024? Yeah, I would hate to have to rate this. That's why I couldn't

choose only 10. I'm going to start with some bangers again here, but forgiveness or forgive by

Tim Keller. I actually can't remember the exact title of it, but as far as I know, it's the last

book that he wrote. And you know what

you love about Keller is his ability to understand the gospel at the heart of every passage of the

Bible and also the human heart. I mean, you know, Dr. Keller, the way he would be able just to lay

open the human heart and show you the idols that are controlling you. And man, you know, I don't feel like I live with a lot of bitterness. That's the way, I mean, by God's grace,

I mean, people have wronged me before, but I, you know, I haven't had to deal with what some

people deal with. And so I was like, well, I'll learn a lot from this book, but man, this book

hit me right in the heart and showed me just some

just ways that we wrestle with believing the gospel and applying it when it comes to forgiving
