This is where I break down excerpts from my favorite books or books that I'm reading and bars from my favorite rap songs or shit, not even necessarily my favorite. Just maybe a song that I heard where it was a certain lyric that really stood out to me that I felt like I wanted to break down and give you my take on so you can understand

the wisdom and the knowledge behind hip hop and of course how I interpret the different

books that I read.

I even believe, you know, with books, not all books are created equal. There's a lot of bad books out there and I say bad

as in just like there's bad music not a lot of good music um and so you have to also when you read

I'm just saying this as a side note I wouldn't want you to take on the mindset that every book

you read is right or is helping

you grow, et cetera.

It's really up to you to take what you learn and then distill it down to some form of

a principle or action step and apply it.

If for nothing else you take it and have it challenged the way that you think or refine

some philosophy that you have already established.

So anyway, with that being said, let me break down today's book.

It's called Unsuccessful Thug, and it happens to be by Mike Epps.

It's Mike Epps' autobiography, pretty much.

And if you guys don't know who Mike Epps is, he is a very, very hilarious comedian, which

is not an oxymoron because I feel like there are a lot of comedians who are not very funny.

And if you don't believe me, just go on Netflix and watch some of the quote-unquote specials

that a lot of these comedians have. There's a lot of

them that are horrible. Mike Epps is one of the best. He is actually one of my favorite. I love

Eddie Murphy. Jamie Fox is awesome as well. I love Mike Epps. Dude is hilarious. He's super, super
