And this is from one of the best college coaches of all time, one of the most respected in basketball.

And this is Coach K, Coach Mike Chesefsky, if I said that right. Coach K, you guys know him. Duke

also coached the USA men's basketball team. I think he still coaches it as well. But very well

respected, coached a ton of stars that are in the NBA now and has a very, very unique approach

to leadership. So especially in college basketball, very unique approach to leadership.

So especially in college basketball, there's a lot of different styles.

And I would say one of the most prevailing styles in college basketball is to be,

if I could say the dictator or the coach who shouts and screams and, you know,

on the extreme side throws the chairs and things like that. And then you got the Phil Jackson's, I know Phil Jackson's NBA, but the Phil Jackson types, which and the coach K types, which I tend

to be more fascinated by. And certainly I don't believe there's any right or wrong way,

but it is important, as Bill Parcell says, to have a philosophy. Now, Coach Kay's book is called

Leading with the Heart, and it pretty much outlines his philosophy on leadership, and the subtitle is

successful strategies for basketball business and life.

So in his book, I want to read this part. And he's talking about rules. All right. So listen

what he says. He says, too many rules get in the way of leadership. They just put you in a box.

And sooner or later, a rule happy leader will wind up in a situation where he wants to use

some discretion, but is forced to go along with some decree that he himself has concocted.
