Summary

Today we have a book study on the topic We Agnostics presented by four folks from the Big Book Awakening Womens Book Study group. This was two separate book study meetings both on the same topic so you get multiple perspectives. Its fairly obvious when it switches from one meeting to the next. Zoom One quick fyi, it did have an audio dropout of around 5 seconds on one of the meetings, so I removed the dead air and added a click track so you know what is what. 0:35.0	As a big book study the goal of this recording is to increase our collective knowledge of the book of the book alcohol synonymous by sharing with each other.
0:43.0	Let's start by introducing ourselves as speakers. I'm Callie and I'm an alcoholic.
0:48.0	I'm Barb. I'm an alcoholic.
0:51.0	So today our chapter is read no sticks check before and right in the beginning right the first paragraph.
0:59.0	It gives us the two questions we only need to actually let we should answer if we want to know for an alcoholic or not.
1:10.0	If when you want to honestly want to you find you can't put entirely or if when drinking you have little control over the amount you take you are probably alcoholic.
1:22.0	Now I was reading that AA put out a pamphlet with 10 questions and that there are some treatment centers that have assessments that have 42 questions.
1:34.0	But the one I like best was one that came from a wine gel entire Texas.
1:40.0	The next question was do you find that the roof of your mouth gets sunburned?
1:46.0	That was my favorite.
1:49.0	So anyway assuming that we can both answer those questions there are two possible outcomes.
1:58.0	And that's in the next paragraph number one is to be doomed to an alcoholic death.
2:04.0	Or it'll live on a spiritual basis and they seem like pretty far out of alternative.
2:10.0	So though I think all of us had the experience of being close to being doomed to an alcoholic death because I don't think we would be here if we hadn't been.
2:22.0	Page 45 lack of power that was our dilemma and that is our dilemma those first two questions about alcohol our answers to them indicate a total lack of power.
2:37.0	So the solution is to find a power by which we can live and it has to be a power greater than ourselves.
