So I had to read it. We are picking up on Chapter 38.

This is where Donald Trump is being inaugurated January of 2017. But on that fateful day in

January, Sarah is with Cheryl Elliott, Sadie, and other Facebook staffers coming home from

Davos. By this point, she and her husband have set a date for when they are

going to leave San Francisco slash when she's going to be done with Facebook. He being a journalist

is very aware of the bad things happening in Facebook and wants to report on it, but there's a

conflict of interest because he's married to an executive so he can't. She's been to Davos so many

times at this point, though, that she says it's become routine, and she knows what she needs to do to keep everybody happy,

particularly Cheryl. The hardest part of Davos, she says, is managing Cheryl's ever-increasing

desire to be in the spotlight. Be careful what you wish for. I added that last part. And she

knows that anybody who's traveling

to Davos with Cheryl, there are certain expectations. And those are that whenever she's speaking

on stage, you sit in the front row, you clap adoringly at whatever BS she's saying, which Sarah

actually equates her words on stage to the emperor's clothes. Page 293.

But on this trip, I decide I won't sit in the front row.

I won't praise her after each event.

It's one of my tiny acts of resistance.

It feels rebellious.

I know it aggravates her.
