There's gift I've ever received has to be a bike when I was younger, a pedal bike.

It was a sort of slick little road bike and I remember it was all like it was so it was all wrapped up

but it was so obvious what it was obviously because nothing shaped like a bike and I had a little ribbon on it

and I was so excited. For that was a life changer and I'm still sort of big on cycling around my area now

so for that one change me a little.

Okay guys happy Easter weekend. I wanted to just give you a little bonus episode to wish you happy Easter

and to do the only fitting thing before Easter Sunday and that is talk about the wonder and the beauty and the great news

of the gospel of Jesus Christ and I thought the best way to do that was to read you some scripture

so whether you are a seasoned believer or whether you're still trying to figure out if this whole God thing is real

or maybe you're a new believer and you're still trying to understand okay how do I express what the gospel is

what exactly is Easter celebrating I hope that this encourages and edifies you so let me read you a little bit of Romans 5

we'll start with verse 1 this is really the gospel.

Therefore since we have been justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand

and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God and then I'll fast forward a little bit to verse 6

for while we were still weak at the right time Christ died for the ungodly for one will scarcely die for a righteous person

though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die but God shows his love for us and that while we were still sinners

Christ died for us since therefore we have now been justified by his blood much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God

for if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his son much more now that we are reconciled

shall we be saved by his life more than that we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we have now received reconciliation

so we are reconciled as an unholy sinful people to a holy perfect God we had to be restored we had to be renewed we had to be redeemed
