Every Friday these days feels a little bit like it deserves a you made it.

But this Friday, I feel like it really does because it was just, it was a week.

Um, I'm gonna get right into it.

My guest this week is Luke Winky for our Slate Plus segment here.

Luke, I have not spoken to you before, but I really wanted to speak to you this week

because you are kind of Slate's Manosphere correspondent.

And I feel like this week, obviously with the assassination of Charlie Kirk, there was a lot

of explaining to do.

I think for a lot of people in the country who sort of knew of Charlie Kirk but didn't

maybe know of him fully.

flag that we're recording this in the morning on Friday.

We just had a press conference from Cash Patel and other people from the administration

explaining exactly where things are with the Charlie Kirk story, which is a suspect has been detained.

They basically dumped out a whole lot of information, essentially their whole investigative file in a live

news briefing, which was a little disorienting for people like me who are not used to at least

to something a little bit more formal. Maybe let's start here. Luke, you watched the press conference, right? Yes, I did. Can you decode it a little bit for me?
