Thank you. I'm I. I'm the titular Newst Olympian. I'm a grown man who never read the Percy Jackson books as a kid, but I read them as an adult because I was on a quest to determine if society had been sleeping on the series. I said yes, and now I'm seeing if society's been sleeping on the ongoing second season of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians TV show. Here with the bonus episode where I will share more of my junket coverage with the episode four relevant questions. And then I'm going to have information about the upcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand. So if you're listening to this and you're on Australia, New Zealand. Stay tuned to the end of the episode for details on that tour. I've got

seven shows coming in 26 in January and February. But for everybody else, let's get into the clips that you're going to hear today. So the first clip that you're going to hear is the question I was most excited to ask. A lot of people did ask me, how did you whittle down the questions? And honestly, I just had a lot prepared, and little by little, you just kind of rank, you know, if I have time, hear the questions I would like to ask, kind of picking one per person. And I knew right off the bat when I saw this on the screen for episode four, I wanted to ask Walker about the wild choice that Percy made when making the peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Now, I'm glad that the episode of TNO came out first before posting this clip because a lot of people in the comments let me know that's how they make their sandwiches. So I might be off base thinking that this is ridiculous, but here is me asking Walker, basically why did you do this? It's ridiculous. Hi, I'm Mike Schubert. I'm the creator of the New South Olympian podcast, and I'm here with

the cast of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Team, how's it going? Good to see you. How you doing? Good to see you as well. Doing well. Doing very well. Let's get into the questions right away, Walker. In episode four, we see Percy making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. He uses a knife for the peanut butter.

2:34.0

He uses a spoon for the jelly.

2:36.7

Was this a directorial choice because it's Percy's first time making a sandwich? Is this the Walker method of making the sandwiches? Is Percy Jackson a psychopath? What's going on? That's the Walker method. Yeah? You're a spoon jelly. That is the walker. I did not think this was a crazy thing. This is a crazy thing. I use a spoon for jelly. Okay, why? What's the, what's this? Because it slips off the knife too easily. Getting it out of the... You need to get it out. But here's thing, like you could use this, you could mess everything up and put the spoon in, put it down, and then spread it with a knife. Right, yeah.

3:07.8

But it's just easier to just, you know, the knife is done, used it for the peanut butter. Now you use a spoon, use the back of it, it's easy. Okay. By the way, I haven't eaten the peanut butter and jelly sandwich since then. Oh. Wait, what episode was, all because you do it so many times for the show. Do you remember how many you had to eat?

3:25.0

Did I what?

3:26.0

Do you remember how many you had to eat?

3:42.6

Did I what? Do you remember how many you had to eat that it really put you off on them? Well, we did... They had a spit buck. I don't know. I never spit it out, though, because by the time I'd, like, get out there, it was, like, basically all chewed up and done. So I was like, it's just weird if I spit it out at that point.

3:43.3

Yeah, totally. So I was like, it's just weird if I spit it out at that point.

3:42.8

Yeah, totally. So like I just ate all these sandwiches and this really thick bread. It is really fluffy looking, yeah. It wasn't even fluffy. It was, it was just dense? Dense. It was like, what is it? Soda bread or whatever. Oh, okay, yeah. Soda bread. Is that a bed?

3:56.3

Is that a bit of bed?

3:57.1

No.

3:57.9

It's similar.

3:58.9

Don't worry about it.

3:59.6

It's all good.

The next clip you're going to hear is from the junket I did with Dior, Arian and Charlie. I asked Dior about what she is bringing to the role of Clarice and how that differs from what we saw in the books. Dior, so this season we're seeing a lot from Clarice. Not only that we didn't necessarily see in season one, but stuff we didn't even see in the book for Sea of Monsters.
