Summary

Delic Radio is a podcast for the psychedelically curious. Host Jackee Stang talks to leading experts in psychedelic news, science, and culture. These are real conversations about real psychedelics.

I also had the pleasure of speaking at Meet Delic, the first of its kind Psychedelic Wellness Summit. They are bringing together the leading minds in wellness education and psychedelic sciences, and you’ll learn a little bit more about that in this episode, plus my own experiences with psychedelics, addiction, and the intersection of the two.

0:49.0

Or watching it come up.

0:51.0

Sun gazing is either done at dawn or dusk or ideally both if you're

0:59.1

so situated geographically. The idea there is your you are actually and by the way kids don't try this at home

1:06.4

it's something you definitely want to do right because you can harm your eyes if there's

1:09.7

too much UV light in the sun but typically depending on where you are in

1:14.8

proximity to the horizon meaning if there's a bunch of mountains in between you and

1:18.9

the sunrise then there's going to be too much UV in that light by the time it hits you it's if it's coming over a mountain but let's just say you're in the desert on a flat plane and when you see the sun coming on the horizon

1:36.0

and I do in fact like look directly at it for the first 10 minutes or so.

And then you start to move your gaze downward toward the lower part of the

1:46.1

horizon 20 40 60 80 degrees whatever is suitable depending on how bright the sun is because you don't want to look directly at the

sun once it's got a bunch of UV in it.

But you know this is an ancient human practice definitely documented in the Ayurvedic system calling it sun gazing and when I do it
