If you have not been under a rock, you have heard that there's something going on at

Asbury University and now actually reports that it's spreading, an awakening, a revival,

those are some of the words that have been used, spreading to some other campuses and

just really wanted to talk to someone on the ground, very honored today to have as my

guest Dr. Steve Siemens, who is a professor of Christian doctrine at Asbury Seminary.

And so he brings both theological expertise and eyeballs to this particular interview,

having been there on the ground and seen it really from the beginning.

Dr. Siemens, so great of you to join us this morning.

So great to be with you, John.

Well, let's just start.

I mean, you and I are having this conversation on Thursday.

It's about eight days after there was a chapel service that didn't end.

Just describe what happened there.

Yeah, it was a typical Wednesday morning chapel and at the end of the chapel, they dismissed

the kids to go to class.

Speaker said, somebody you may want to stay behind to pray.

The gospel choir, an African-American choir on campus there had been leading worship

that day and they kept continuing to sing.

And then about 25 students stayed behind to pray.

And then it's interesting.

Students started coming back after class.
