Summary

I don’t know about you, but when we talk about numbering our days this time of year I go straight to the Christmas countdown. And yes, Christmas is FOUR days away! (Thankfully there’s always Amazon to save us in a pinch.)

But this week, as we’re praying for our kids to number their days, we’re thinking less mathematically and more missionally. We’re praying they make the most of every God-given opportunity, living today as if there might not be a tomorrow.

David understood the brevity of life when he wrote: “You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure” (Psalm 39:5 NIV).

Podcaster, author, speaker, and my friend, Lisa Clark, is on the show today to guide us in praying for our kids. She’s just about the coolest grandmother you’ll ever meet and always full of wisdom and humor. Today is no different.

0:55.5	grown daughters. How many people do you have now? Grandkids? How many people are over there?
1:01.2	We have two daughters and five grandsons. Five grandsons. That's so fun. And so Lisa speaks a lot all over
1:09.4	the place about parenting and rights and all kinds of great things. But this week, Lisa, as we're talking out, numbering our days, I'm going to let you speak into this. I think there's two ways to look at it. One, we want to pray that our kids learn to number their days well, knowing the brevity of life. But I think it's also a call as parents to number our parenting days
1:28.2	well. Also, as someone who has kids that are now grown and out of the house, I know that you can
1:33.3	speak into how quickly it goes. But before you do, are you ready? I've got something to share a little

1:56.7	the value of time. So if you're 12 years old, it's 1134 a.m. That's equivalent. Does that make
2:02.7	sense? Yes. Okay. So if you're 35, it's 3 o'clock in the day. If you're 45, it's 515.
