Remember those babysitter club's super special edition books?

0:11.6

Well, this is a super special edition of The Simple Show, except this one is actually a lot shorter, not longer like those babysitter special editions.

0:20.4

No matter, you get what I'm saying,

0:22.2

this is a different episode because I wanted to announce and explain the upcoming changes to the

0:28.7

simple show in a standalone episode. I didn't find the cure for cancer and know this isn't going to be a

0:34.8

major change to your day, but it is exciting to me,

0:38.2

and I'm really stoked to share it with you. I'm finally doing something with the show I've wanted

0:42.9

to do for a couple years, to be honest. Podcasting is one of my favorite things to do. I love the

0:49.1

excuse to talk to interesting people, and I love sharing it with all of you lovely people. But after five plus years of doing this,

0:57.1

and it really has been that long, the show has gone through several iterations since 2011,

is and will stay as the Simple show. But after five years,

1:21.7

just interviewing people. I actually want to dive in more with people, get into some meatier

1:27.3

topics and have ongoing

1:28.7

conversations. With interviewing, it's a new person on every show. And while I appreciate those

1:35.4

shows and even listen to a few of them, the curse of it is that you can only go so far and then

1:41.2

you have a whole new person on the next time. And then I start over,

1:44.6

talking with them about who they are, what they care about for 20 to 30 minutes, and then wrap

1:48.8

up. And quite frankly, I'm not that great an interviewer. I don't know, maybe it's because

1:54.4

I'm an I NTJ and the Myers-Briggs personality profiling where I want to cut out all the

1:58.6

small talk and talk about what's really on our minds.
