Welcome back to E.V. News Daily and welcome to a special bonus edition of the podcast as we look at the Paris Motor Show, also known as Mondial de Lotto. It's set to revive the motor show format at the Paris Expo, Port de Versailles. Now, the show runs from October 14th to October 20th, October 14th on Monday dedicated to media and industry. Public access starts October 15th.

There's a wide range of manufacturers turning up and it's really interesting because the

motor show, we've been told for a long time. Is Dead Man Walking? Many have been cancelled.

But Paris this year, there's been so much buzz around it because, well, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault,

all getting behind it and with some decent

launches. Now, many of the carmakers want to launch their vehicles away from motor shows

so they don't share the spotlight. They're expensive to launch a car and they want to do that

in their own control environment where they control the narrative and who gets invited and all

those kind of things. The motor show format, surprisingly for Paris, seems to be working very well because the French

brands, Renault, Porto, Porto, Citro, Alpine, Daccia, all want to turn up with decent launches.

The German brands, Audi, BMW, Volkswagen Mini doing the same, and Alfa Romeo, Ford,

Kia, Skoda, the Chinese, BYD, Leap Motor, Ex-Pung, GAC, all turning up again with some interesting things to talk about.

So, some of the EV scheduled to make their world premiere or a debut or a facelift.

And so I thought I'd run through some of those ones that I do know are going to be talked about this

week and have a look at some of the more interesting ones. We'll start with Citroen because it's a

French brand and it's the Paris Motor Show with the Citroen EC3 will debut. Designed to be

affordable, positioned as one of the cheaper electric vehicles over here in Europe, built in Europe

in France to capture a share of the B segment. And that starts at around 25,000 pounds,

a usable battery of 44 kilowatt hours, gross about 50. WLTP range 199 miles or 320Ks.

Not a performance car, not to 60 in 11 seconds, only tops out at 93 miles an hour or 150k pH, and it only charges at 100 kilowatts as well. The point of the Citro and EC3, if you are probably paying for this monthly as well, like nearly all cars, actually, you pay monthly, don't you? To get that price right down, to give you a vehicle

that's fit for purpose, to do the things you need to do for maybe some urban mobility to provide

you with very affordable transport. Now, the Citro N. EC4 and EC4X get a facelift, and it's not just
