Welcome to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace. The Bible tells one big story

0:06.7

of redemption, and we want to spend five minutes every day, journeying through

0:12.1

the Bible from start to finish, and exploring how all of it points to Jesus.

0:23.2

Hey everyone, welcome back to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace. My name is

0:28.1

Crystal, and today I will be your host for this special bonus episode on the

0:32.7

Gospels. We've been releasing these bonus episodes periodically to provide

0:37.5

some encouragement as you continue reading God's Word, and also to provide

0:42.2

clarification or additional teaching in relation to the books we've recently

0:46.4

1:15.1

same events throughout history. So we might be tempted to skip over or speed-read

1:21.0

these sections of scripture that we've already covered in other places. But

1:25.2

just like the Kings and Chronicles episode, I hope that today's episode will

1:30.2

illuminate the nuances and intricacies that each Gospel holds. There is a lot to

1:36.3

learn from each of these four accounts. Each of these Gospels was written by

1:41.2

different men covering the same time frame but with varying theological

1:46.0

infacies. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John all had a purpose in writing their own

1:51.8

account of the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. But first, let's

1:56.9

discuss what is known as the Sidenoptic Gospels. These are Matthew, Mark, and Luke.
