there is a cost to giving your favorite animal the very best care possible throughout their lives.

In the first year of life, you can expect to spend about $1,675 to care for a dog

and a little over $1,100 for a cat that's according to the ASPCA, and that's just an estimate.

These costs can vary, when they can vary a lot, depending on the size and the health of your animal
