One of the myths that we're taking up here in the last several hours of issues, etc.

24, is actually suggested by the guest that he is coming on here for the next

couple hours to talk about the myth. Chris Roseborough suggested the myth that Martin Luther invented the teachings of law and

gospel, the distinction between law and gospel. Now I must admit I've heard this one

before. I've heard it from, I've heard it from my fellow Lutherans.

It's one of those internal myths that rolls around.

Those are some of the most pernicious ones of all.

That this is just kind of an idiosyncratic peculiarity of Lutherans. of not the way the Bible ought to be read universally. It's just one way among many, many, maybe not in the best way to interpret God's word, to understand God's word in terms of law and gospel. And of course that myth

continues to persist. Joining us to dispel it, Chris Rosebrough, he's
