Summary

Send us a Positive Review! We've heard it a thousand times...and probably have said it a few times ourselves. "The ________will never change." You fill in the blank..."The world will never change" or "the church will never change"...and yet they do. How does evolution actually happen? This "bonus episode" is a download that Val had over the weekend after asking herself why she was doing this platform. The answer to her question is what you will hear in this epis...

Before we jump into today's episode, we have to say this. Our very first live fellowship gathering was incredible. The conversation was honest, the chat was active. People were connecting, not just virtually, but finding others in their actual communities. You could feel something forming in real time. And this is just the beginning. The Live Fellowship officially kicks off March 9th.

let's get into today's episode. Hello, my friends, Welcome to Latter Day Struggles. This is Valerie. And yeah, you're not crazy. This is a podcast that is dropping in the middle of the week. This is an extra, extra bonus episode. And so you have to know, a little secret is if ever these bonus episodes pop up it's generally because

1:11.2

I've had a lot on my mind and I couldn't resist sharing with you so here we are this episode

1:19.8

actually comes to you as a result of some deep thoughts I was having over the weekend I was asking

1:26.1

myself some kind of I don't know existential questions about the work that I do, about some of the changes that has, that have

1:32.5

happened in my life, in my family's life. And is it just me or every once in a while, do you

1:39.9

kind of look in the mirror and go, is this, like, am I doing, like, is this good? Like, is this,

1:46.8

is this the very best way I can, like, fulfill the measure of my creation? Is this meaningful?

1:52.1

I think sometimes on harder days, it's like, is this worth it? I may or may not have thought

1:57.1

that a few times. And so that's kind of what was sort of rolling around in my

2:02.6

mind when some thoughts emerged about the value of what I'm doing. And maybe this is just something

2:11.8

that I need to share with you as my witnesses. But I am so connected to, I feel like there's such an

2:20.8

importance in not only the transformative journey, but the witnessing of it and having

2:25.8

loved ones and friends and people around us who we share our stories with. And so this is,

2:31.5

this is, I guess, part of that. It also goes hand in hand with

2:36.7

a new kind of vulnerable direction that I've decided to take this platform in, you all know,

2:47.6

or maybe many of you know that I have decided to actually expand my reach just a little bit by offering something that I'm calling the live fellowship.

2:55.6

And a part of my existential questions had to do with that because honestly, I wasn't really in them, I wasn't looking to do something else.
