So we were talking about this and you were saying that

so US is ready to go to war, it's post 9-11, and the media everywhere from like news media to

M TV went absolutely bonkers.

Uh, yeah, so recently we came on the anniversary of the invasion of Iraq.

It's been, it's been a good, uh, we're coming up close to 20 years now on it in a couple years.

And because of the news cycles that we saw with Iran in particular it's become kind of obvious

that the news media has not really learned much of anything since the run-up to the

Iraq war.

The run up to the Iraq war, for those who are really too long to remember it,

it was plagued with journalists not asking tough questions,

refusing to ask tough questions, taking U.S. intelligence

supports at complete face value, bringing in pundits who didn't know know anything and creating an environment that made

people want desperately a war to avenge the September 11th attacks against a nation that was not responsible for the September 11th attacks.

Right, and was that just the US media? I mean, I was I think 13 or 12 when the Twin Towers happened and I honestly don't really

remember paying much attention to the media other than just looking at wow what the

fuck like the towers blew up and then what Afghanistan what Iraq like you know what

I mean like I don't remember was it the same in Britain would you say or do you know

Britain had problems in I mean this is not really a notable thing you know

tabloids like a daily mail were especially bad about this but the

BBC did not take as nearly as much as a I don't know what the term would be for it they weren't as much as a, I don't know what the term would be for it.
