and this is Chris.

I hope everybody's doing well.

As you know, I don't love to throw a lot of stuff in the feed,

but this is a very special one this is someone who is very

near and dear to me I was asked to be on the Chinwag podcast which is hosted by two

people one of them notable actor Paul Giamotti. And guess what? Paul Giamotti has

strangely had an outsized influence in my life and career and that's on top of the fact that he is genuinely

a very good guy and a truly interesting person. If you are not someone who watched my old TV show, it's

pretty universally agreed upon it that the... it's pretty universally agreed

upon that the best episode is one called One Man's Trash

And I'll encourage you to just maybe go watch it and I won't say anything else about it

If you haven't seen it, you're going to want to skip ahead before I

spoil it. If you have seen it, you know that Paul Giamatti was very

intrinsically connected to that episode and that I owe him forever. And anything, if Paul Giamotti asks me to jump, I say how high. That is my relationship with Paul Giamotti.

And I haven't seen him since we taped the episode until he asked me to be on his

podcast at the San Francisco Sketch Fest which I was so happy to do a lovely crowd

him and and his co-host just have a great show, and a lot of it is what we connected

over early.

I first met Paul because I was asked to go pitch ideas to him and his production company, and I pitched him a bunch of ideas and he was like you're a weird guy and none of these ideas are great for my production company but I really like talking to you and we realized that we had a shared love of road trips and roadside architecture and sort

of fringed stuff that's out there, ghost stories, and Chinwag is a show where they talk about all kinds of stuff

like that.
