me is because I'm only a life coach. Now, I happen to think that life coaches are amazing and

life coaches have changed my life, but I hear this a lot. Oh, she's only a life coach. I work with

new coaches too who are building their businesses and they have to get over this feeling that there's

something less than about being a life coach because I'm not a therapist. I'm not a counselor.

I'm not a licensed clinical anything. Many times when we think about somebody helping someone

out of suffering or helping to improve their lives, we think about a licensed clinical person.

And I'm very clear with people that that's not what I do and that there are some people

who I redirect to a licensed clinical person if I think that they're in need of that.

And here's the thing about life coaching. It gets a bad rap because

anyone can call themselves a life coach. It's not a regulated industry. There is no third-party

neutral party, I should say, that regulates life coaching. And so anybody can just say,
