Welcome everybody to the Lockton Lakersaker's podcast. I'm Antone Irwin in a second. I am again going to be joined by Pete and he and I are going to dive into our thoughts over of what has transpired over the last 48 hours. I was supposed to, I basically

recorded a version of this podcast the other night and had it deleted. I'm not kidding at all. It was deleted while I was editing it.

Pete hopped on and when we were getting ready to record the show said he wanted to talk about all the stuff.

So that is what this part of today's podcast are going to be. And the first part he and I talked about the spurs game.

We talked about the amount of effort

that the Lakers have put forth to this point.

And then now in this part of it,

we are gonna talk about more kind of bigger issues, so I hope you enjoy it. There's no easy way to segue from Lakers basketball to the conversation you and I are about to have right now.

So I'm just going to ask you straight up, how have you processed everything that you that took place these last 48 hours?

No, that's going to take a very long time. I was glued to my TV to all my like I follow

politics almost as closely as I follow basketball.

And so I was, I've been waiting for this day

to happen for quite some time.

If you were surprised by what happened on Wednesday, I hope that it was a wake-up call because we've been heading toward a day like this. We had a little exchange on Twitter about this you and I,

the night that had happened, but we've been really heading toward this for quite some time. There's

a great deal of extremism that's been whipped up and when you whip people up in that

manner they're going to act in this respect. My mind goes to the law enforcement component and how easily like we've got a 750

billion dollar defense budget and like these folks like this is not some organized

battalion breached the capital building, right?

And how woefully, and they were,
