Hello everyone, thank you so much for joining us on this Friday evening for this very special Clarence virtual beauty festival. I'm Trish Halpin.

I'm Lorraine Candy and we are the co-hosts of postcards from Midlife, the podcast.

And it's a podcast which is, what is it Trish? It's all about the marvellous years after 40, through to 60 and beyond and beyond, isn't it?

And we talk about absolutely everything women in Midlife encounter, deal with, survive, teenagers, hormones, menopause, perimenopause.

Fashion and beauty. Fashion, beauty, wellness, skincare and we have fantastic guests and experts on the day.

We do, we do, indeed. And today we're actually going to be talking about everything beautiful because there's so much that goes on in Midlife with your perimenopause and the effect that that can have on your skin.

So we're going to be talking a bit about that. Lorraine and I have both had fabulous makeup makeovers.

So we're going to be talking you through those and also our kind of personal beauty journeys from our teens, 20s and into Midlife and possibly beyond as well.

Yes and our careers in Glossy magazines which has given us a small bit of authority in the fashion and beauty world. You are looking really eclectic.

Thank you. You're a minky eye shadow. You're kind of movie minky and you've got little flush relashes and a very good look at these.

Bright red lipstick which I think really suits you. It's lovely and I got them from Julia Ren who's the fantastic makeup artist who's going to be coming on and talking to us in a minute.

How she did this and how you can create a look in Midlife or a new look if you want to and we are also going to be answering questions from our postcards from Midlife Facebook group.

This is a private Facebook group which is just such a fantastic supportive, funny, inspirational community of like-minded Midlife women and you're all welcome to join if you would like to.

And since we launched the podcast nearly two years ago we have been trying to change the narrative around what it means to be a Midlife woman and around menopause and all of you women together are helping us do that.

So the more of us who can spread the word and tell our stories and share what's working for us, what's not working for us and give each other support the better.
