Hey, podpeeps. It's the middle of the month already. And although I wasn't planning on recording any new episodes with guests, that was just going to be a lockdown 2020 thing.

But so many have been in touch to say how you've enjoyed having something different to listen to for a change on my series.

So I thought I'd do a few more.

And when Matt reached out to me to ask if I'd like him to come on to the show and talk about the medication side of mental health

to help with our understanding of antidepressants and antipsychotics and so on. I thought it was

too important a topic to ignore. And as it's somebody that I already knew and trusted with no agenda

or anything, I thought, all right, well, let's do one for the new year.

So we did.

And we recorded it just before Christmas.

In it, we talk about psychosis, the placebo effect, and the psychology of being someone starting to take medication, as well as the pathways within the NHS to get the ball rolling as well.

It was a really interesting conversation.

Matt is a mental health pharmacist, a chief pharmacist, no less, in Nottinghamshire Health Care Trust.

He was made an honorary associate professor at the University of Nottingham and is a top bloke.
