Doohig. Charles is a Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and a best-selling author. He also hosts a slate

podcast called How-Toe with Charles Doohig.

But here's what you need to know for today.

Charles went to Harvard Business School.

Not so long ago, he attended his 15th reunion and he

wrote about it for the New York Times. You know, HBS is supposed to be a golden ticket. You get

in and you've got a straight shot to the kind of career that turns you into a happy

mow-go-go-

wealthy, influential, a queen of capitalism. So Charlie figured his peers would be pleased with their lives, right?

He found something else.

Many, many people had achieved kind of the top-level goals that they had wanted to achieve, but a lot of them were kind of miserable.

You heard that right. They were unhappy, not because things hadn't worked out for them, but because things had worked out exactly as they had planned.

And it led Charlie to wonder, and me too, what leads to a fulfilling career?
