My mother used to tell me a story as a child.

There was a girl who was terminally ill.

There was a dream just outside her window, which was shedding its leaves.

She told her father that the day the last leaf fell would be her last day as well.

So then one day, her father, he took the last leaf and glued it to a branch of the tree,
