Humans, welcome to another episode of Ask the UCB. I thought I'd record one in celebration of the release of the upright citizens brigade comedy improvisation manual.

It's right. I've talked about it a lot. We thought it would have been released years ago, but it took so long.

I think the reason it took so long is our goal was you should be able to read this book having never seen an improv show.

And certainly never taken a class and still be able to learn how to improvise. That was the big challenge.

So writing it that way, I think, was why it took five times longer than we thought it was going to.

But personally, I'm super proud of it. I think all the guys are. Anyway, it's available at UCBTheter.com in our store there.

So this episode, when I was back for the DCM, I had a workshop, which I do every year with the Harold Teams, the UCBTheter, so I can meet them.

And I had probably nine different people jump up. And this segment of the class is three of them. Very talented. They did a great job.

Really, when I gave them notes, I was being pretty nitpicky. Like, you know, these scenes were all pretty good without having notes for the most part.

But, you know, when you're doing a workshop, you might as well say something. You'll probably be able to fall along. I'm not using too much improv speak, but there's a little bit. And it'll give you a little peek into the UCB training center kind of style of improv.

And certain points, I know I say the word thing over and over again, that's because I'm pointing up in a dry erase board and spatially illustrating what I'm talking about.

So as a listener, we get a little lost there. But for the most part, it's some good scenes. And we break them down afterwards and talk about it. So enjoy asked the UCB number two.

Oh, I had, back when I had health insurance, I had a really handsome doctor, which I didn't really think anything of.

You shouldn't think anything of having a handsome doctor, I think. But I faint when I have a shot or I give blood or anything like that.

So it's really bad. I wish that I didn't, I don't have it. It's, it's not because I'm nervous and not like afraid of needles.
