Everybody, Tom Woods here talking to my friend Steve Clayton today.

This guy had the life.

He had everything just the way you'd think you'd

wanted. He was a VP at Lab Corp, which of course, many of us have visited to get blood drawn and have

testing done. And then he decided that it was not fulfilling and it was not what he wanted to do.

And he was still in the rat race and it wasn't worth it. And so he took a gamble

and decided to drop out of that and become an entrepreneur. So that is some serious risk taking.

And it really, really paid off for him. And he now has many years of experience with not just

e-commerce, but a lot of different online business models.

He's had a lot of success with them. And here we are in January 2019. I thought it was a good

opportunity to talk to him about what works, what doesn't, what kinds of factors you want to

look for in the kind of business you should start. And it so happens that a

number of the factors that Steve and I have talked about happen to be ones that are present in some

of the things I do. But that's just because I fell, you know what, backwards into it. I didn't

realize I was doing the right thing. I was just groping around, and I happened upon a combination of factors that worked

really well. So I want to talk to him about what works, what doesn't work, what factors tend to

lead to success, what things tend to hold people back, because this sounds like I'm describing my

life here, because I was held back for a long time time too. So anyway, lots to talk about with
