episode. If you don't know, we recently crossed a thousand episodes. And to celebrate, I wanted to

sit down and talk with the voice of the show for nearly the first 400 episodes, Kurt Linville.

Travis Parsons was also a host at the time,

but towards the end of their time doing the show, Kurt was mostly the host.

And so, you know, if you don't know the story, basically I was a guest on the Adventure Sports podcast back in like the mid-200s.

And I remember on the show, it was just, it was my first time being on a podcast, just an incredible experience. I'm so thankful

for that opportunity from Kurt and Travis. I was on again about a year later. And I remember just

thinking, you know what, I'd like to try my hand at hosting this podcasting thing.

I'm just getting into it. It's really cool. As a listener, that is. And I offered, I was like,

hey, you know, if you ever need help, just let me know. I happened to live near Curt and Travis

in the Denver area. And we met up and got to know each other a little bit.

And about a month later, I heard back from Crittany.

He's like, you know what?

i just didn't know enough didn't know how to get started it was still kind of still the early days

of podcasting back in 2018 that's only you know five six years ago but it wasn't as like podcasting back in 2018. It's only, you know, five, six years ago. But it wasn't as, like, podcasting wasn't as big as it was even now. So, and this isn't, you know, a typical episode. I'm not necessarily interviewing Kurt. We're just chatting. And when I edited this and relistened, I realized I talked a lot more than I would normally. So I'm very self-conscious about that.
