Recently, I sat down with a few of my fellow conference faculty members to chat about the writing

industry, the process of writing, writers' conferences, and the writing life. Here's my conversation

with Cynthia Rupti. I first got to know Cynthia after reading one of her novels, and then I had her on my show, and she's just a brilliant writer. But now she's not only a great writer, she's since become a literary agent, and we're so grateful that she's returning again this year as faculty member for the Northwestern Christian Writers' Conference. Let me tell you about her,

and then you'll get to know her a little bit. Cynthia Irkty is a literary agent with books in such

literary management, which specializes in serving the Christian publishing industry. She'll be teaching

this workshop, the Shark Tank School of Pitching Your Project. I'm telling you, I want to watch all of these

breakout sessions. I'm so excited. Cynthia, I'm so you, I want to watch all of these breakout sessions. I'm so

excited. Cynthia, I'm so thrilled. Even though we're online this year, I'm so grateful that you're

This really was a dream of my heart to be part of the faculty for this particular conference,

and I'm grateful every year to be able to input into the lives of both young and veteran writers, and it's an

awesome conference. Yeah, well, you do it with such a beautiful heart, too, Cynthia. I appreciate

that so much, and we'd love to start every interview talking scripture.

And I teased you before we got on the air here about being an overachiever because I asked you

about a verse and boom, you have one right there. So tell me, is there, what's the verse you've

been pondering these days and thinking about? Well, this is a different version that I'm used to

studying from, but this is from the Passion Bible, 2 Corinthians 511 says,

since we are those who stand in holy awe of the Lord, we make it our passion to persuade others to turn to him.

And one of the things that has been striking me about that verse is that number one, we stand in holy awe, number two, we make it our passion.

This is our driving force to invite others and persuade others to turn to him, but not just that initial turning to face him and recognize him as Savior and Lord, but helping people
