Recently, I sat down with a few of my fellow conference faculty members to chat about the writing industry,

the process of writing, writers' conferences, and the writing life. Here's my conversation with Tessa Afshar. You know, I can't

quite remember when Tessa Afshar and I first met, but I loved her from the start. Honestly, she is one of

my most favorite novelists ever. She writes from a place of intimacy with God, with biblical knowledge

and a passion for story. We've had her on the show a bunch of times to talk about her books,

and I've got to say every time our conversations are rich and they're powerful. She is a precious

friend and an incredibly gifted writer, and we're so grateful she's returning to our faculty

again this year for the Northwestern Christian Writers Conference. Let me tell you about her,

and we'll get her on the show. Tessa F. Schar is an award-winning author, a historical and biblical fiction.

She holds an MDiv from Yale Divinity School where she served as co-chair of the Evangelical

Fellowship.

She'll be teaching how to become your own best editor at the upcoming Northwestern

Christian Writers Conference.
