Summary

This bonus episode features an episode from 2020, when Bob got on the phone with Troy Eldridge . . . the State's only witness, who was used to wrongfully convict Jesse Eldridge for the murder of Keow Gove. The episode was shocking when it aired, and has become even more shocking now. Shocking because 5 years later, Jesse is still in prison waiting for a Judge to hear this evidence.

Hey everybody and welcome back to Truth and Justice.

I know that I told everyone that there wouldn't be an episode this week and that we're going to be off.

0:07.4

And technically that's still the plan.

0:09.9

There definitely won't be a follow-up episode this week.

0:12.8

But I decided to go ahead and put out a bonus episode for today.

0:17.6

0:47.6

and working and reading case files and trying to do investigations and hitting dead ends and getting new leads.

0:56.7

And as you all know, the court system is certainly not designed for convictions to be overturned.

1:02.2

So it's loss after loss after loss most days.

1:06.5

But every once in a while, you have one of those good days.

1:10.9

And it erases the memory of all those bad days that preceded it.

1:16.2

From time to time, I try to revisit those good days.

1:20.7

It's something I do to keep myself motivated to keep doing this work,

1:25.2

especially when I'm feeling particularly discouraged, because it's been a while since we've had a win.

1:31.1

And this time of year, like I said, is tough because even though we've had such great success over these last 10 years,

1:38.9

and several of the people that we've worked with are now home with their families because of the work that you all

1:44.8

have done along my side. But there's also so many that are still in prison, so many innocent
