I'm your host, Asherita Chucho, and as you might hear, I'm getting over a bit of a cold, so I'm sorry for the stuffy sound, but I still wanted to be here to show up to serve you in this way.

and that is seeking his stillness, which I think is so appropriate for us today. But before we

Today's reading comes from Psalm 131.

My heart is not proud, Lord.

My eyes are not haughty.

I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me, but I have calmed and quieted myself. I am like a weaned child with its mother. Like a weaned child,

I am content. Israel, put your hope in the Lord both now and forevermore.

This psalm is a psalm of a sense, meaning that the Israelites would sing this psalm

as they made their way toward the temple in Jerusalem on an annual pilgrimage.
