Today's reading is 1 John 5 verses 14 to 15.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he

hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have what we asked of him.

What does this passage reflect about the character and heart of God, especially regarding our needs? Please. This passage says that if we ask anything according to God's will, he hears us.

What does that phrase according to his will mean?

And what would it look like to ask for something that is not according to his will? I'm Think back on your life.

When was a time when you asked God something?

And you had the confidence that he heard you.

How did that affect your relationship with God? Our natural bent is to ask for things that are according to our own will in our prayers.
