This is the first episode or the introductory episode,

and I'm so excited about this particular season for many, many reasons.

First, we will be covering the end years of the Cold War, but we will focus on 1983.

Now, the idea for this came about because of a couple of things.

First, Zach Twomley over at When Diplomacy Fails, did a bonus season for his patrons on 1956.

I loved it. It was fantastic. And I love the idea

of a season that is based around the events of one year. Secondly, I love the Cold War,

and an opportunity to discuss it is a good thing. Thirdly, I love the show, Deutschland 83. If you

haven't seen it, you really should. That was a great season.

If you don't know, each season of this show, Deutschland, covers a different year in the 1980s.
