On New Year's Eve, 2003, 39-year-old Anna Walsh and her husband, 47-year-old Brian Walsh,

we're celebrating at home in the little seaside town of Cohasset, Massachusetts, with friends.

Anna was an attractive, super-smart mother of three sons, and she also had a high paying and great career,

working for the real estate firm Tishman Spire as a regional manager.

Anna had had a lot of success both at her day job and in buying homes for investment purposes.

She had bought a $1.3 million townhouse in the neighborhood of Chevy Chase, an affluent

suburb of Washington, D.C., where Anna had been living.

During the week, she lived there in Washington, D.C.

She commuted home to Cohasset on weekends.

On that New Year's Eve, she and Brian invited their close friend Jim over. Jim later told WBTV that there was zero indication there was anything

wrong that night. Everyone was celebrating. Anna was texting with friends. Now, the friends Anna might have been

texting with will come into play later. In the meantime, though, Jim said there was, quote,

absolutely no indication that any modicum of a tragedy or disappearance or anything else could have happened

that night."

At around 1.30 a.m. Jim left.

It was a pretty low-key night.

Brian told investigators that shortly after Jim left, he and Anna went to bed.

He later told police that Anna got a call in the middle of the night and had to leave the

home very suddenly. This was the middle of the night on January 1st at around 4 a.m. There had been

some kind of a work emergency. So Anna took a ride share. He wasn't sure if it was Uber or Lyft or

what type of ride share he just knew she had taken a ride share to Boston's Logan International Airport.
