with Dr. Alexandria Ford about body image. I'm pretty sure I've said this every week during our

series on Living in Light of Redemption, but let me just say if you're struggling with body image,

solidarity. I have been there. In this episode, Alex helps us understand how the whole person

matters to God that he created us in his image and that he has created every aspect of our being

with the purpose. Listen to what she said. We want it to, of course, respond by turning to Jesus,

so that I mean that we enter in all of our struggles in life, especially in this area.

And I think it's easy as we've been talking about for some women to dismiss these issues as being

unimportant or to think that they don't matter to God, but do and he wants us to bring this and

everything else to him. This conversation really helped me understand that recognizing the important

of human embodiment is necessary in order to fully understand who God has created us to be,

especially when it comes to challenging topics such as body image. So you'll know our guest a

little bit better. Alex is a member of the Village Church where her husband is on staff.

She's a mom, a wellness coach, a consultant with her practice, flourish, and drive. And she serves

as an online teaching assistant at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Alex graduated from

Southern with her doctorate in education and from Dallas Theological Seminary with the Masters

in Biblical Counseling. Her background includes counseling, education, personal training, and ministry.
